As any artist knows, creating a masterpiece requires a delicate balance of skill, talent, and inspiration. For those of us who lack all three of those things, there's always AI. These days, there are AI art generators that can create stunning works of art with just a few clicks. I recently tried out three free AI art options - Deepai, Hugging Face, and night cafe. To test them and give a fair comparison I gave them all one shot with the exact same ridiculous prompt, "beautiful photo of a cowboy riding an emu sunrise. nature. photography. detailed face and feathers, ultra hd, sharp. volumetric lighting," The results were surprisingly good. With just a few tweaks, I'm sure I could create something that would be worthy of hanging in a gallery!
The results look ok for a first try. The image is a little blurry and dark. Bothe the cowboy and the bird look a bit weird but with a little refining of the prompt, I'm sure I could get an Instagram worthy result.
This is my favorite option because it generates 4 results to choose from. The images are pretty decent considering I gave it just one shot. Again, with a little refining I think I could get a great image.
This one failed me for this particular prompt. It doesn’t really look photographic and it doesn’t have a cowboy. That makes me a sad panda.
Paid Option- Jasper.ai
I wanted to compare these free options to a paid option that I personally use, Jasperai. Jasper is primarily an AI text generator, but they recently added art to their offerings. The monthly AI art fee is $20. Full disclosure, If you do sign up through my referral link I get 10,000 credits toward text generation. I gave it the same prompt and one shot. It also gives 4 results. Here is my favorite of the four.
Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the free AI-generated artwork
All in all, I was pretty impressed with what these AI art generators are capable of. It's amazing to see the kinds of artwork that can be produced by algorithms, and I'm excited to see what they'll be able to do in the future. If you're looking for a fun way to kill some time and create some free artwork in the process, then I highly recommend giving these a try.
