Why Artists Shouldn’t Fear A.I. Art

In recent months, "A.I." has become something of a dirty word in the art world. Artists have been warning that the rise of artificial intelligence will lead to the end of art as we know it, with computers eventually replacing human creativity altogether. But is this really something we should be worried about? In this blog post, we'll take a look at the case for A.I. art and why artists shouldn't be afraid of embracing this new technology.
 
1. A.I. art is still created by humans... sort of.
Most people assume that A.I.-created art is entirely generated by computers with no human input whatsoever. But that's not necessarily the case. Yes, the computer is doing most of the heavy lifting when it comes to creating A.I.-generated art, but there's usually at least some level of human involvement in the process. For example, an artist may need to design the parameters for what kind of art they want the computer to create or provide feedback on preliminary results so that the computer can learn and improve its output. So while A.I.-generated art may not be entirely "human-made," there's still a significant amount of creativity involved in its creation.
 
2. A.I.-generated art can be remarkably original.
Because they're not constrained by the same biases and limitations as human beings, computers are capable of generating truly original works of art—something that's becoming increasingly rare in today's world where everything seems to have been done before. This isn't to say that all A.I.-generated art is better, but it does have the potential to be more experimental than traditional forms of art due to its unrestrictive nature.

But I would urge you not to write it off as a pointless exercise or something that will spell the end of human creativity, because it isn't either of those things. If anything, A.I. generated art represents an exciting new frontier for creativity and one that we should all be taking advantage of! AI artwork is here to stay, whether we like it or not. So instead of fighting it, we should embrace it.
